Nails don't need much "doing". Put on a good recording. Cut them short enough that they don't show from the palmar side view, or as short as you can stand them. File them off, to make the edges rounded. It's tedious and requires attention to something booooring. Nails take a good bit of care, for all it's not complicated.

There's a thing called "New Skin" that is more flexible than Crazy Glue. Not as flexible as I'd like, but I like it better for skin scuffs. Crazy Glue is better for nails, true. Then there are always the insidious fingercots.

I understand how D'Glenn gets her digits bloodied, (Damn, that girl can play) but for massage it's not necessary to work them hard enough to hurt them, nor cut them short enough to bloody them. Trust me on years, or ask D'Glenn. I have at least 2000 hrs under my belt, most of it nasty. Don't work for LizArden.

You are right about the importance of your hands. Your nails have to be short in order for the fingers to contact the client's body softly and carefully. And then, if necessary, dig in without gouging. And it is important to make sure of the integrity of your skin. I'm glad that the next bunch of massage therapists is coming along well.

Do you know the rules for sleeping that keep carpal tunnel syndrome at bay? If you do, they work. If you don't, I can explain it. And I've even got some truly wild but effective stomach exercises for back pain. They worked on me. Forgive me for lecturing, but I care. A character flaw.

Do you do Shiatsu? AKA Acupressure. 364 points, and all that. And those damned strange flows. I understand them but they're confusing at times. Muscles are are so easy by comparison.

Bonne chance, mon amie.

I haven't started Shiatsu yet. I am going to Massage School now and will not be out till the end of July. I just started NMT. My school is 1 year for night students. I still have to take my National's and then my LA Boards. I have yet to decide if I am going to stay here in New Orleans or move back to MD.

Yes, I agree with you regarding dGlenn's playing I have known Glenn for a very long time and seen him play.
