all the times that I've heard my CDs skip, it was at the rate of 5 times a second so it'd sound like jik jik jik jik jik jik jik... One thing you can do is set certain CD players to do is "start here", "goto here" , "repeat infinitely". Also you can repeat a single track infinitely. Maybe someone really likes that riff. Either that or you've been a collateral damage victim of sound warfare.
