On second thought, I don't think they even provided the truly correct answer for this one! "Everybody" is singular (like "a group") so shouldn't it be "his or her"? Unless everybody was satisfied with some other person's grade, which doesn't make as much sense...

Sorry to pick apart the test you posted but we are higher grammar deities than the person who wrote it =D

The only correct parse of that one that I could generate with the options available was: "Every member of a group was satisfied with that group's grade". Which isn't what they meant, I suspect -- they needed to provide either "his or her" or just "his" -- which is still correct per grammar if not PC these days.

Unless every member of the group was female, in which case "her" would fit, but they didn't specify!
