I have made a habit in the last couple of years where If I see someone driving like an asshole, I will look for hir licence plate number and keep it in my memory for a short time. The thought being that if I see the car get in an accident farther up the road and the perp hits and runs (and assholes usually do) I can continue rehearsing the license number till I can write it down so the cops can nail that sucka. Maybe someone else on the scence did what I do, reported the accident and the number, but doesn't have the victims' information to give the cops. This is of course a long shot but it would feel really really good to nail that bastid's hiney to the wall
