Ah, a language I hadn't seen it in before -- I take it "sannerligen" is "indeed" or "truly" or something similar?

Yup.
The modern form of the verb is "har uppstått," and the one I used is the deliberately archaic, used... Well, in the sentence above and correspondingly in "a child is born." (That is, the perfect constructed by be instead of have.)
