This text has a complex and rich atmosphere. The very first words have a strong Japanese feel to them, which last through the second sentence. The second and the fourth sentence, however, are strongly resemblent of "my first book" genre of literature. The juxtaposition of ethereal Orientalism and simplcist-navistic Occidentalism is a delicacy worthy of connoisseur. The enigmatic role of the third sentence is a puzzle for the inquisitive mind. Is it stage directions pure and simple, painting the landscape and giving the protagonist a context, or does it have a more transcendent role, hinting at treasures that we can perceive but never reach in a tangible form...
