"Corporations once they reach a certain point become undead, zombies to be specific. Think about it, any corporation larger then about 30 people suddenly becomes stupid and tries to feed on the brains of it's workers..... Sounds like a zombie to me! Also, once they get powerful enough, it's really hard to kill them, you really have to hack them to bits..... again, like a zombie! They also tend to turn any corporation they 'buy', i.e. eat, into a copy of themselves, JUST LIKE ZOMBIES!!!!!!" -- [livejournal.com profile] feldrax, 2004-02-12, also quoted and commented on in [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha's journal.

Why anniemals avoid Kraft foods whenever possible. They're masters of disguise, too. Many subsidiaries. I don't know about 30 being the max before zombiehood, though. Requires some thought

Thirty sounds way too low to me, too.

Alternatively, "A business will do things too stupid for people to do. A government will do things too stupid for a business to do. The older and larger a business is, the more it comes to resemble a government."

I've heard a few stories which suggest that the single thing that will ossify a business fastest is selling stock to the public.

That's the whole point of capitalism.
