Sometime in the past couple of days I got a pair of text messages from my cellular provider. The first said, "We are about to upgrade your service," and the second, five or ten minutes later, said, "We have just upgraded your service." This left me scratching my head, wondering what sort of upgrades might apply to SMS.

Today I went to check my voice mail and got the "new subscriber" setup menu.
