Woke up from a ... "rather ordinarily surreal" (if that makes sense) ... dream that involved misplacing or leaving behind an item at a time (keys, phone, PDA) and having to backtrack through landscape/architecture that changed every time I looked away; wound up climbing a ladder on the outside of a tower and dropping my PDA. I think that what everyone was wearing changed constantly too. I'm sure lots of other people have had more or less the same dream at some point...

Actually fell asleep sometime around evening network news time, but have been waking up just enough to wonder what time it is and what day it is about every hour and a half since. (At some point I noticed that The West Wing was on, but since I was coming in in the middle I just hoped the VCR was catching it and fell back asleep. Perrine was perched on top of me about half the times I woke up. I'm pretty sure she was hoping to be fed.) This time I woke up enough to go scoop the litter box, take the trash out, check the clothes dryer, and peek at email. Still feeling kind of fuzzy-brained and less than 100% awake though. Now to go feed myself and the cat and decide whether to crawl right back into bed, write up one of the more-interesting-than-this entries I've been meaning to write, or try to chew through part of my to-do list.
