Sleep cycle still scrozzled. *sigh*

At some point this morning I was awakened because a bird appeared in the grape vine outside the bedroom window, and Perrine, who had been resting on my legs, teleported noisily to the center of the window. (She can balance on the top edge of the lower sash if she lands there cleanly, but it's a far and tricky jump from the bed; the first three times she did it today, she wound up hanging by her front paws, but she later did wind up perched.)

When she moved to hide behind me to lurk and stare at the birds, I rolled over and got to look at her hunting face from the front, and dammit, she's a heart-meltingly adorable little killing machine.

I've been missing birthdays a lot lately (often because by the time I'm awake enough to remember to mention them, they're about over -- see first line of this entry), but hey, there's still time to wish keith_m043 a happy birthday...
