I'd say I'm a "libertarian socialist," rather like Noam Chomsky, who uses the term "libertarian" in its European meaning, instead of as synonymous with "Randroid." In practical terms, I'm a Liberal/NDP swing voter. :D
Well, we certainly need to diversify our trade. Right now, we have something of a monoculture going whereby we rely on the US to consume the vast plurality of our exports. That's not a tenable long-term position.
