I think of myself as a liberal-flavored libertarian--that is, I hate governments because they keep hurting people rather than because they get in the way of really capable people. I've developed doubts about anarchism, but think government is way too ugly to be really fond of it.
That's one of the closest descriptions to my philosophy that I've ever read. One of the comments I make around election season is "I'd be a libertarian if I thought that people were smart enough, ethical enough, and responsible enough to handle the obligations of maintaining a healthy libertarian society," (or something along those lines).
