Someone I know once said, "Old is about 10 years older that I am." At the time, I was amused. Now I'm starting to think he was right.

Old used to be 10 years older than me, then I noticed how it kept sneaking up on me, so I changed it to 15 years older.

Using that logic, "old" could keep getting pushed farther and farther out, couldn't it?

I have to admit that when I posted my original comment, I suddenly thought, "Wait, he said that over 10 years ago. Does that mean I'm old?"
