So would I. In particular, when considering changing the membership of a filter or eliminating a filter I think is just for reading (i.e. I've never posted to it), I'd sure like to be able to see the posts that would be affected by the change before I make it.

Yes, and I'd love to be able to filter things, sometimes, without locking out the folks not on the filter!
