I was looking at one of those silly personality quiz thingies and got to the question, "For advice, I turn to... a) My friends, b) My parents, c) The experts".

How should one answer if one's friends are the experts?

I'd say "My friends" if they give advice for free, "The experts" if they are getting compensated in their professional expert-like capacity for it.

That's why I usually skip those personality-test quiz meme things, though I'm occasionally sucked in despite myself. Few of them are precise and flexible enough for me.

Notice that I don't rely on them for my sense of who I am. Occasional amusement value only, though it's a roll of the dice to see whether the entertainment will be from the answer or from laughing at poor questionnaire design.

In what capacity are you turning to them for advice? If it's as an expert, then that's your answer. Likewise, if you are primarily concerned with their friendship with regard to their advice, then I'd answer "friends."
