"Our letter writers tend to be more liberal than our readers. Our readership is broadly spread out, but it seems as though the liberals pick up the pen a little faster than the conservatives." -- Robert Turner, deputy editor of the editorial page and overseer of the Letters to the Editor section of The Boston Globe, 2004-04-05 (if that URL is still valid months later)

It is a generalization but certain things I find to be true. Most journalist tend to be liberal as does most professors and most colleges. I think this is no accident and creates a self fullfilling cycle of continued liberal control since the professors are the ones that select the next set of professors.

Out side of the extremes most of the time conservatives take longer to respond to things from the liberal view since they are more likely to try to ignore it. While liberals are not only more likely to jump at a event but are also more likely to protest or exhort their discontent, seldom do they ignore things.

But I am conservative, mostly.
