Not doing so well this week; missed both rehearsals due to crashing in the evenings and not feeling safe to drive. Also behind on housecleaning, laundry, dishes, bills, and email, not to mention LJ reading. Not likely to make it to the thing I want to go to tonight because I'm so far behind on stuff, even if I don't find myself falling asleep around dinnertime again. Not sleeping very well when I do sleep isn't helping things much. Anyhow, not intended as a pity party; intended as an "I'm still here, still feeding Perrine, not hospitalized or anything" and an explanation of why I have so much really late email to apologize for.

At least the weather is pleasant temperature-wise (though alternating between "is it really winter?" and "yah, grey, whatever" visually).

Today I'll try to catch up on the most urgent of the email and the most important of the housework, and otherwise mostly just focus on being well enough and rested enough to get to the places I absolutely must get to this weekend (including the Three Left Feet/Thrir Venstri Foetr gig Sunday evening at St. Martin's in Annapolis).

I've got more to write about when I'm not rapid-cycling between crunch-mode and fall-down-mode, but for now, this: Representative Ric Keller was quoted in an AP article about the challenge to the Electoral College votes from Ohio (thanks to twistedchick for linking to it) as saying, "There's a wise saying we've used in Florida the past four years that the other side would be wise to learn: Get over it." That sounds to me like a cue to reprise a song from November:

  but the truth is, you know it when you hear it

"Get over it" is not good enough. If you want folks to quit making a fuss, either show real reasons they shouldn't, or fix the things they're complaining about. "Get over it" translates to nothing more than "neener neener Pbbbbbt!".
