Aren't we lucky that the cats that took us over didn't put us through that? Mel only startled me a lot. Perrine was very polite about taking over you. No face-down in the mud and drain pipes. I hope their relationship is thriving.

Extra afterthought: the dog said "Aaaouut" and distracted me. We are not doomed until intelligent polydactylic cats develop opposable thumbs. So far so good, mostly. Mel is only normally endowed, goes after anything meatlike I'm eating, but if he could use the can opener... (shudder)...What a daymare. I'm wondering about that disappearing ham sandwich dream.
