Not doing well on the fibromyalgia front this week. Not doing well at staying awake and alert long enough to both get things done that need to get done, and also have time to feed myself. Keep trying to stretch just a wee bit farther before crashing (because there are things I want to do, as well as the things I need to do), and am starting to think that's the wrong approach for now. Going to see whether I fall asleep now, 'cause I'm currently feeling too crashy to do anything major and not alert enough to deal with anything small-but-important-and-potentially-costly. Got a bunch of URLs gathered for a "link sausage" entry once I feel awake enough to edit it ... maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, maybe the weekend. Need to find energy to practice recorder tunes, and work my sleep schedule around to being able to make it to final two rehearsals and Sunday's performance, but at this point all of that is a distant second to managing to be aware enough of time-of-day to avoid having my car ticketed or towed tomorrow (street cleaning day). Quite frustrated at my body's non-cooperation with my plans for the week so far.
Just so this isn't a complete whine-post, here, have a funny (and this way I can shorten the already longer-than-usual link-sausage by one). Put down your soda/coffee/water and go read "Viva La Roombalucion!", a tale of two felines and a wee robot.
And if anyone caught Maureen Dowd's line about why she doesn't use the word "hate" to describe how she feels about politicians, on last night's Late Late Show, please email me. I wasn't taping it, I hadn't been paying attention until then (I think I changed to that channel moments before she said it), and I want to get the phrasing right to use as a future QotD. (Anybody Tivo it?) Thanks.

And my fibro is acting up too. I've been exhausted and crashing out for hours in the middle of the day for several days now. I've also been having to take painkillers and muscle relaxers in the middle of the night because I'm waking up in so much pain. That hasn't happened for quite a while. I bet if I were to ask my doctor she would say that a lot of people have been complaining about their fibro acting up. It seems to be like that for some reason.

I'm so sorry you're in pain :(
Still laughing (about the link, not the bad stuff)....

Thanks for the giggle.
My fibro is screwing around with me, too, and I've had the sort of day that borrowed spoons from next week. If I get a little more energy I might even post about it. Anyway, I grok the crappy fibro-is-messing-with-me feeling. Hang in there.
