Yes, meteorological spring started 1 March. The "meteorological" seasons (as if this had any real scientific meaning), start on the first of the month of their respective solstices/equinoxes (equinoces?-I only really deal with Latin as it pertains to animals). So, yes, 1 March, 1 June, 1 September, 1 December.
