A reminder of what I mentioned a few days ago, in case any of you read the first announcement and thought, "Hey, that sounds like fun," but forgot to mark it in your calendars:
Tomorrow, Sunday, 20 March, at 3:00 PM, I'll be performing with a recorder ensemble at First Unitarian Church in Baltimore, MD. The church web site lists this as an early music concert, but in addition to the several early music pieces, the program also includes works by Alessandro Scarlatti, George M. Cohan, Eubie Blake, and John Bratton, and English and Irish folk tunes. So if you're in the Balto-Wash area or within easy driving distance and feel like a musical afternoon featuring works from various centuries, come on out and enjoy the show.
The Scarlatti piece is a sonata arranged for four bass recorders (we'll have at least five basses playing it; possibly seven or eight).
The church is located at 1 W. Hamilton St. (map), in the Mount Vernon neighbourhood of Baltimore.
