Δαφνη Ευτυχια Αρθουρος

Two helicopters (black with yellow markings) just south of my house, one a block away and the other three blocks ... hovering. Funny, they almost never do that -- they circle instead. I wonder what they were looking at that was worth the extra fuel. No smoke plume. Wrong angle to see whether either/both were police (right colour, but ISTR that one of the local television stations also uses black with yellow). One fire truck north of my house, on the other side of the intersection, and a police car blocking the intersection, and more fire trucks coming by later and turning south.

I watched the helicopters briefly then turned on the telly in case one was a news chopper. Haven't seen anything yet, and they've both flown north now ... and channel 13 just showed helicopter footage from over the other side of the city (a shooting up in north Baltimore). So I'll probably never find out what was interesting enough to have two whirlybirds hanging in place for 15-20 minutes.

(Yes, I've been quiet lately. My body currently seems to be in a mode where I need a day of rest after any day when I try to Do Stuff, but I've tried to do "not much" a few days in a row ... and apparently "not much" was more than it felt like a couple of times and I got surprised by a day turning out to be More Stuff than planned a couple of times. Last night a migraine interfered with my plans, and between that and the drugs I took for it my sleep cycle is all out of whack today.)
