While I'm glad he said it overall, I do note that his list of religious liberal activism is slanted toward issues that appeal to conservatives' stereotypes of liberals, particularly by leaving out the biggest one of modern times, the civil rights movement. I can't imagine that omission is accidental, since the thrust of that passage is to paint religious liberals and conservatives as being fairly equivalent, and the fault being in how the respective parties treat them.
