I hope you don't mind my asking this, but it's become more immediate for me recently and I realize I don't have good instincts here: beyond having the spoon clue, are there things people can do to help friends who are fighting chronic pain? What tasks tend to take a surprising number of spoons -- that if I could just help someone do that thing in particular, it would preserve spoons more than anything else I could do? (I'm talking in specific about someone who lives locally, but I welcome the broader answer too, particularly as it applies to situations like cons and Pennsic.)
