I had a painful night, constantly half-waking to roll over to compensate for which parts of me hurt worst at any particular time. But here's the blogworthy oddity: I had two dreams going, one involving a television show and the other having to do with a marbled bundt cake, and which dream I was having depended on which side I was lying on at the time. It was as though I couldn't dream about the television show if I was facing away from where the television set was in the dream (which was not the same part of the room where my television is in real life, BTW).

I no longer remember any of the plot from either dream, but I do remember noticing at some point that each dream picked up where it had left off when I rolled over.

I do that *all the time*. It's particularly helpful when I'm having a nightmare. Unless I'm having 2, but that's really rare.

Yup. Me too. I've often found that by changing physical position I change my dreams. I've thought of it as "changing the channel" for as long as I can remember.
