2. Slightly-less-simple pleasure: That oddly glowy greenish quality of the light that sometimes happens before or after a thunderstorm ... plus a rainbow.

*nod* I gather the Minitel system has a detailed timetable of leprechaun toilet breaks- it's how they know when it's safe to raid their shillelaghs.

Actually, I got that one in email and in about five other people's journals ... Fred described it as "farmer invokes rainbow force-field tornado defense", or something like that.

My pleasure was simpler because it wasn't combined with the adrenaline boost of the sound of an approaching twister. :-P
