There are purpose-made SIMM-testers, but they ain't cheap. $200-$500 or so is the range I'm remembering. The easier solution is to find a geek who already owns one. I know of one such person (in DeKalb Illinois) but I'd be willing to bet that there's a computer shop or a geek with the too much money disease somewhere closer.
