Well, wait a minute. I love semicolons dearly; they're my most favoritest punctuation to abuse. But I can't say I've ever gotten excited by a semicolon. They're not as deadly as the aforementioned period. Please, if there's a reason to get all aroused about semicolons, I want to know it!

After a bowel resection, is the patient left with a semicolon?
