Dream

Woke from a curious dream. I was working on a database-backed web site intended to make it easier for freedmen to prove they were free when challenged because I was sick of seeing friends being hassled. So apparently in the dream the Internet and the Web predated the American Civil War. I didn't recognize anyone I know in waking life in the dream.

I'm not sure, but I think the clothing fashions in the dream were a few decades off.

A few decades late for the Civil War. But I'd have to go Google some historical-fashion sites and hope I'm remembering images from the dream clearly enough to be sure.

Actually, I think you must have been dreaming the future. As anyone with half an eye can see, the current regime down there is rather big on slavery, and fashions, well, everything old may be new again. *grin*
