I think you should have contextualised this a bit better; it comes off as a possible mixed metaphor without any of the context, and it isn't. For any of those of you who read this and went "Huuahh?!", the conversation we were having was about the common Canadian metaphor that Canada is the mouse next to the sleeping elephant, and we have to be watchful, in case the elephant rolls over and squishes us, unintentionally or not.
