The take I bring from the original statement, is that "Cultural Marxism" is meant to be a derogatory take on the notion that all cultural values have some sort of equal weight. It's a common Rightist expansion of cross cultural sensitivity that such things head inevitably towards a political and cultural landscape where "anything goes", and the undesireability of such an extreme is applied to the case at hand (like gay marriage)
The thinking is that if we adopt this kind of liberal thinking, soon there will be no more right and wrong, and nobody's values will be respected anymore, not even those who would stand against true atrocities. If gay marriage is allowed, they say, what's next, "multiple marriages"? "pedophilia"? "rape"? "condoning theft or murder"?
A permissive society, in their minds leads directly to anarchy, and as such, needs to be reigned in and the fools who espouse it, exposed as decadent frauds on a par with the misguided Marxists who fell for the lies of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot.
