Red frosting is the worst - black's almost as bad, because you have to use some of the same ingredients to get a good black. We used to warn people in the bakery I worked at who wanted a lot of red about it,because there's no way around it (currently). I don't really notice it in small quantities, like M&Ms - it's there, but minor enough that I don't mind.
