It was an odd moment

I pulled yet another tuft off her and when I put it out the window, it rose a little on the warm air from the pavement and just hung there.

Virginia summers. Ugh. I'd not only take off my clothes, I'd take off my skin without that sweet compressor in the yard.

There's a song about it, I think. "Dance around in your bones"?
