Crystal here. This must be a Mac problem; I use Windows & NYT remembers me just fine. Which is bad system design & annoys me on your behalf.

But I have the same problem under WinXP and Linux, using Opera and Firefox/Iceweasel.

I was pretty sure it had to work for somebody, or the NYT folks would've noticed it was broken by now.
