Yes, we have ants in January. At the moment there are more in the bathroom, for some reason, than in the kitchen, and I've had to put an anti-ant shield (a ring of ground pepper) around Perrine's food bowl in the bedroom. (Perrine doesn't quite approve, but as the smell has faded she's putting up with it.)
Also, this afternoon it was sixteen degrees[*] outside and way too warm indoors, but it's supposed to get below melting by the end of the week, last I heard.
[*] For folks who know I live in a °F society: it was a warm day; I translated to °Canadian because I'm used to hearing realinterrobang use °C. That is, the thermometer on the window read on the high side of the 60 °F mark, so it was nearly 289 Kelvins out, with really impressive brightness/colour rapid changes through the afternoon as dark clouds, light clouds, and actively precipitating clouds chased each other across the sky with clear sunny patches in between.
