Actually, it's like you've been given brand new SUV and shoved out the door and told to be happy, but you were actually supposed to get a convertible. There are no trade-ins and the best you can do is alter the SUV with an aftermarket patch job. You might get a pretty modification but the world still sees you in an SUV and judges you that way.

Not having seen that commercial, living in Damnark as I do, that is a great explanation! (For the record, I'm not trans but I've had a batch of friends over the years who were, and I'm hoping that everyone who reads this gets as much out of the article as ... is there to be gotten, I guess is the right way to put it.)
