Migraine. Drugs have knocked it down from "am I sure I can move without throwing up from the pain?" to "man, I feel like crap and my head hurts". Effects on tonight are smallish, but unfortunately my schedule for the next few days is such that the ripples grow as they move forward in time, so I'll be noticing the effects on plans come Sunday.
In the next nine days I've got three gigs with three different bands, and two extra rehearsals on top of the normal ones. Busy. Good to be playing, but I have to remember to pace myself in all other activities so I don't wind up having trouble keeping up the performance/rehearsal schedule.
Long, steady rain here in Baltimore. (One more incentive to stay in even if taking more drugs helps.) If staring at a CRT doesn't make my headache worse, maybe I'll get caught up on the explosion of LJ posts since Tuesday. Or maybe not.
Yesterday afternoon when I heard Bush give his speech, I noticed that he thanked Karl Rove. And I immediately thought, "I don't want a society where someone thanks Karl Rove; I want a society where people are ashamed to have been associated with him, where they're embarrassed about having needed his help to win."
Since our society does not currently have that kind of moral compass, it made sense that Bush thanked Rove. But it still bugged me.
