Darkover starts today. I'm supposed to be coordinating musicians for a Playford dance this afternoon, performing with The Homespun Ceilidh Band tonight after the masquerade and tomorrow evening at seven, and coordinating musicians for the Regency ball tomorrow afternoon.

So far I'm having a killer bad-pain day and am struggling to pack and prepare, and still don't know how I'm getting there. This is not a good weekend for a flare.

I didn't get a lot of definite responses to my attempts to recruit musicians, so if you can get there in time for the Playford dance and are up to playing the music, please do -- especially since at this point I'm not 100% certain that I can get there in time myself.

I've missed the Playford thing and still feel like crap, but I'm going to go do the HCB concert. At this point I have a ride that'll get me thre, but not the double bass and the woodwinds, which I'd planned to play for the Regency Ball tomorrow. If there's another option that'll get me there with all my gear, that'd be groovy (and I have the option of coming home tonight, if the "can carry everything" ride is tomorrow). Otherwise I'll just do the Regency Ball on guitar and maybe alto/tenor recorders.

Give me a holler if you can get me there with the bass.
