Yesterday morning, boychik and I were waiting our turn to get into a rotary (roundabout), with windows open. A guy in a pickup truck pulled up to the passenger side and I braced for him to head into the rotary ahead of me as too many Medford drivers do. Instead, he yelled “All Lives Matter” through my son’s window as I moved into the rotary.
I heard just a garble of syllables and had to ask my son what he’d said. I sighed and said “well, I’m busy parenting.” (He and I were discussing negative consequences and the difficulty of remembering them while focused on a preferred activity.)
Incidentally, a few days ago I told a quick story of something fun you’d done ages back, and boychik scolded me for not using your real pronoun.
Oh FFS Pickup Truck Guy, I'm sure he can find some rally to go to rather than yelling at random passerby. *hugs you a lot*
It's such a weird and bittersweet but indeed sweet feeling to see that I am fortunate enough to know many wonderful people who agree with Mr. King here. I remember feeling lost among a unanimity of people who refused to understand these issues. I'm so glad I don't feel that now. *hugs both of you*
