Original Trek, I can tell you. I think they revised it for Picard.

Warp 10 is 1000 times the speed of light. 10 cubed.

Warp 2 is eight times.

So it would take half a year to get to Alpha Centauri at warp 2.

I looked at the galactic map in the original Tech Maunal, and it doesn't work. Where the various adventures are, around the map, Kirk and Spock and company would have to spend decades between encounters.

It's so nice to think these things out in advance. Pity no one does.

When I was 13, I started to memorize Star Trek. When it went off the air for the first time, when I was 16, I stopped trying to remember everything about it.

Mind like a mousetrap. I wish I could let some of the mice go.

I rejoice every time I forget the title of an episde.
