"OK. I give up. One can now STFW to find answers on how
to STFW."
-- Darren New (posted to a mailing list) on
seeing a pointer to
How To Ask Questions The Smart Way, which was described
as "a general purpose guide to asking questions people will
answer".
(Okay, for anyone unfamiliar with it, "STFW" stands for "Search the f'ing Web" and is sort of a modern replacement or addendum (depending on the situation) for "RTFM" ("Read the f'ing manual").)

Yup, that's the word.
Like I asked someone last year at Balticon to read the sign about the art show hours, after the art show had closed. The sign they were standing in front of in order to open the door to talk to me. (I didn't have them memorized. I read the sign whenever someone asked me.)
Friendly.
I bit them.
I like to think that people at a science fiction convention can read.
It's not a square dancing convention, after all.
Even if all you are interested in is videos, you have to read the schedules to see when the right one is running. Posted outside the room, just like the art show hours.
