Thanks to everyone for the suggestions (including the ones who said I should just not change) regarding word/phrase choice.
I'm feeling overscheduled -- partly because I really am, and partly because of things that got pushed back due to my not feeling well. Got plans for this afternoon, have stuff that Needs To Get Done, want to see my godmother again before she flies back to Cyprus, and The Homespun Ceilidh Band has an out of town gig this weekend (Ligonier Scottish Games, in Pennsylvania) for which we're spending two nights in a hotel.
I also got a cancellation notice for my car insurance. It was dated 20 August ... then again, given the number of other people's phone bills and Social Security notices that have wound up delivered to my house, who knows how many stops it took to get here. So on top of everything else, I need to try to get that situation resolved if I can. Unfortunately, I'm still about $300 short of being able to buy a refill on my prescription for Protonix (for acid reflux), so September will involve eating a whole lot of Tums and being uncomfortable anyhow. What fun.
More later if I get a chance. Or sometime tomorrow if not. And it looks like we'll be three fourths of the way to Hastings weekend before I get around to posting my Pennsic report.
Oh yeah, and Perrine was being distractingly adorable this morning.

So far I'm getting by on Tums several times a day and coping with moderate discomfort and trying to be very careful how often / how much / what I eat. Not fun, but I'm still here.
(Prilosec actually works better for me than Protonix. I switched because my HMO stopped carrying Prilosec, and sent a letter around announcing that everybody taking it would be switched to Protinix. With Prilosec, alternating between 10mg on odd days and 20mg on even days did the trick, IIRC. So if the OTC version is the same thing as I used to take...)
