I don't know off the top of my head who else is taking it. But I saw a promising commercial on the telly the other night, for over-the-counter Prilosec ... I just wonder how much that's going to cost once it becomes available.
So far I'm getting by on Tums several times a day and coping with moderate discomfort and trying to be very careful how often / how much / what I eat. Not fun, but I'm still here.
(Prilosec actually works better for me than Protonix. I switched because my HMO stopped carrying Prilosec, and sent a letter around announcing that everybody taking it would be switched to Protinix. With Prilosec, alternating between 10mg on odd days and 20mg on even days did the trick, IIRC. So if the OTC version is the same thing as I used to take...)
