Glenn: no matter what you do, someone won't accept it. Hopefully, the more times your mom sees you in skirts, the more she'll stop being shocked and offended by it, and the more she'll understand how much of a concession it is for you to play be her rules in her house. In the meantime, your mom made herself look silly in front of a big chunk of family; take that as your victory.
