Careful if that split-pea soup contains onions or garlic - they're VERY bad for kitties.
My cat has a thing for refried beans, I've no idea why. Maybe they smell like soft catfood.

Onions yes, garlic no. My vet actually told me to sprinkle garlic powder on my cats food when she wouldn't eat. If a cat has a cold or other problems and can't smell the food they wont eat it, the garlic is a stronger scent and cats seem to like it.

Aren't onions and garlic closely related, though? Seems odd that one would be bad and the other good...
Sorry, I just tend to lump the two together in my thoughts...
