Aewake. Shouldn't be. Too groggy to do anything productive, not even hitting one of the items on my "things I've been meaning to post about" list. So a "drive by" post...
When you run into an unfamiliar LJ user, peek at their interests list. Ypu'll see plenty of the same-old same-old, but you'll also trip over phrases in the "Oh, I should've thought to mention that too", "I never thought of that before", "sounds interesting -- I wonder what it's actually about", and, of course, "whiskey tango foxtrot?" categories.
I just found someone who lists "putting bras on cats" as an interest.
And I'm sleepy enough for my mind to go off on three tangents from there simultaneously.

*rofl* I'm stealing this phrase :)
I like to see what people have listed in their interests that no one else has. I, for instance, have the names of 2 people I took icons from because they asked me to mention them in my interests. I'm wondering if no one else took icons they made or just if no one else is acknowledging them. I also have "crawlspace radio" and the guy who ran the thing didn't even have that as an interest...
If I didn't have so damn many interests listed already I'd try to think of more interesting interests to list.
crawlspace radio
About having lots of interests. I am debating whether to drop anything that has over 500 users cuz anyone adding that interest won't be added to the list and its more fun to be part of more rarified interests.

That is true but that only applies to when people are searching by "Interest". If I look at one person's info page in particular I like to see what I have in common with them. Whether or not strangers can find my name on the Interests list isn't my problem, and I don't talk about most of my "interests" enough that my page might be of interest to them for that.

she lives in NYC and doesn't really have much social overlap with susboids types, except at things like the FFF.
she is quite entertaining though :)

Enjoy. I can't remember where I stole it. :-)

a) I can never remember most of the letters when I need them in a hurry, so I should print this out and keep it in my music bag (oddly enough, rehearsals and performances are where this comes up most often);
b) Now I finally know why I keep wanting to say "baker" instead of "bravo" -- must have picked it up from an old movie or something; and
c) I'm really entertained by the inclusions of the euphemisms on that page.

That's why I picked that page out of the many NATO phonetic alphabet pages I found. &:)
