As I (with my freakish memory) seem to recall, you could put an *almost* by that 'never flashed' comment.....parka Halloween costume??.......

Do your (current) skirts show that much leg?
Inquiring minds....... :-)

Wow, I'd completely forgotten about that.

I'm wearing longer skirts these days, except for once in a while when I put on a cute print gauze mini. I feel a little self-conscious about my weight lately, and the proportions just seem wrong for really short skirts unless I get the silhouette just right ... and I can't fit a lot of my minis right now and have no clothing budget. But there was a time when I occasionally wore skirts short enough that a few people said they had trouble figuring out how I managed not to show anything inapropriate, and until I gained so much weight I wore a fairly varied range of hemlines. I do want to slim down and feel like I can wear all different lengths again.

I do remember that on my first trip to Arisia (in Boston) I wore a miniskirt and fishnets ... in January. That was a wee bit chilly when I went outside the hotel. But stylish.

Ohh, your wardrobe stuff sounds great! Fishnets....must get some....do they come as thigh-highs?
I went out in January (or was it February?) here in my mini and thigh-highs. As much as I love my slut-wear, that was the LAST time for that. I haven't been that cold in YEARS!! And the Nilla place I went to was a total waste of my outfit.

I had fibro-related and medication-related (not to mention 3 pregnancies) weight management issues. Not that I was ever slim but the no-wheat, no-sugar, no non-veggie/fruit carbs plan has really helped me. I lost about 55 pounds last year and I have no trouble keeping it off. I hope for a bit more loss soon. This time of year is always a plateau period for my body. I need better weather before I feel any energy for exercise.

Hmmm, time to call out a whipping boy and get some indoor exercise! :-)

Oh! I should probably mention that I'm showing more leg when I dress male these days. The kilt I wear on stage with The Homespun Ceilidh Band (http://www.homespunceilidh.com) is a bit on the short side. (Amusingly, showing that much leg has gotten me at least one gig.)

I can almost see/hear it now:

"Hoot-man! Lookee there! A man inna KILT! In America! Now that's REAL Celtic man! Bet he a musician too! Let's git our pipes 'n ask him."
