I have never had, and am now not likely ever to need an abortion. But I will bare my fangs fervently against anything that threatens other women's rights not to bear children.
I came into menarche at about the time Roe v. Wade happened. I was always careful, but knew I didn't have to bear a child I either couldn't take care of or didn't want.
Trying to rifle women's medical records regarding one of the hardest decisions a woman can have to make reconfirms my distrust in this administration.
I do not see representative democracy here. There are those who try to represent the people, but they're not wealthy enough, or numerous enough.
And shrub's not_my_President. He (or his daddy, helped by bro' and his minions) bought/finagled his position and I'm some mix of embarrassed and disgusted. So I'm not surprised he's keeping a bunch of useless snoops too.
I just hope their whatever scheme stays bottled up long enough to get the lot evicted before they unfold it. For the sake of the girls reaching menarche who might be more fertile or less careful than I was. Nothing to make sure a child is left behind like having to bear one, eh?
(Snarls and snorts)
Living inside the Beltway affects one in hard ways. Want to go back to middle of nowhere.
"Trying to rifle women's medical records regarding one of the hardest decisions a woman can have to make reconfirms my distrust in this administration."
Agreed, as if my distrust of the administration needed any bolstering.
How do we convey this to the people who are undecided or who are planning to vote for Bush but could still be educated otherwise, as opposed to "preaching to the choir" land?
I don't know. I'm not sure it's possible. I've kind of passed the place of hope. I'm not sure there are any but the choir to preach to. Maybe undecideds. I keep waiting for a revelation. Too many people are ovine and determined about it. I'll keep working on it. If you come up with something, tell.
Ya can lead a horticulture but you can't make 'em think. (snort) Wasn't that H.L.Mencken?
