There's something about this post that breaks my friends page so badly that it crashes my browser (IE 6.0). When I go to your journal directly, or to the post itself, however, it's fine. I wonder why?
That's really odd, since all the complicated stuff is behind the cut-tag. Starting the clue-hunt now. Wondering whether anyone else is having the same problem.
The only obvious problem was that I forgot to close an tag. (Odd that that would glitch the friends view but not the entry view, but if the problem is fixed now, then I guess that was it. Do let me know either way.)
Next step is to wade through the page source generated by LJ, unless I crash first.
A clue (don't know yet how helpful, but hey, a clue): your friends page looks fine in Opera 6.03 with Javascript turned off. Now if I had every nitpicking detail of the differences in how Opera and MSIE behave, it might be a bigger clue... ()
It's all fixed now! Thank you! The next post below this one on my friends page is a locked entry, containing a poll. Possibly your unclosed tag interacted badly with that entry? And since you couldn't see it, maybe that's why you didn't have the same problem?
