Hm, I'm a Leo also but I'm the opposite. Flattery is usually something I find suspect: I think the person is setting me up to do something.
As for criticism, my first consideration is the source. If I trust the person, I'll think about the criticism. If I think there is an unspoken agenda or animosity.......I either disregard or take the comment to someone I *do* trust. I do that pretty frequently as my self-esteem is rather tame.
